This microwave performs as expected Its operations are not exceptional The major drawback is the control panel It is poorly lit and requires a kitchen light to illuminate the panel prior to operation The door opener is is not readily visible and often cannot be found by guests using this appliance I would not recommend this product to anyone There is competition products far superior to the Amana microwave The operation manual is not well written and lacks detail as well

I bought this microwave 11292017 less than 2 years it is now junk The door latch piece is jammed and than blew the whole unit fuse My husband replaced all parts and the same issue resurfaced Very disappointed to new need to purchase a new microwave The sad thing is the one we had prior lasted 14 years and was still working when we decided to upgrade to stainless I recommend spending a it more money upfront an hope for longevity
