Terms and Conditions
Service and Coverage
For the extent of the purchased service contract duration, Standard TV and Appliance
(STVA) will pay for the necessary parts and repair labor to correct defects in materials or
workmanship of the covered product( s), provided the product has been operated and
maintained in accordance with manufacturer recommendations and specifications.
Coverage will commence on the date the customer takes possession ofthe product(s) and will include the manufacturer's warranty period. Parts and service covered by the manufacturer's warranty will be the responsibility of the manufacturer during this warranty period.
This service contract supplements the manufacturer's warranty; it extends coverage to benefits not included in the manufacturer's original warranty, including:
- No lemon replacement guarantee- If your product requires three completed service calls in a 365 day period for the same functional issue, and a fourth service call is required for the same functional issue, STVA may replace the product with the same model, or a comparable model if it is no longer available. The cost of the replacement unit will not exceed the original purchase cost and may be less, due to technological advances or pricing adjustments. All obligations under and relating to this service contract are fulfilled upon reimbursement or replacement of the covered product( s).
- Food Loss Allowance - STVA will reimburse up to $100 per calendar year for the loss of food if the loss is directly attributable to a covered defect in the product. This reimbursement can be obtained by providing STVA with a detailed, itemized list of all food items lost and their monetary value.
All service must be provided by authorized service centers chosen at the discretion of STVA. Use of an unauthorized service provider or service performed without prior authorization may result in the denial of the claim and cancellation of the service contract.
If repair is required, call 1-800-398-7177 to report the problem and schedule service. Under no circumstances should the product( s) be returned to the dealer without prior authorization from STVA.
No deductible amount applies to this service contract.
This instrument sets forth the entire agreement between the parties and no representation, promise, or condition not contained herein shall modify these terms.
Claims Limitations
The total claims limitation under this contract is the original purchase price for the
covered product(s). During the term of this service contract, STVA may elect, at its
option, to buyout the service contract for the amount of the original purchase price, or
replace the product with the same, or comparable, model. In the event STVA elects to buyout the contract or replace the product( s), it shall have satisfied all obligations under
and relating to this service contract.
Conditions and Exclusions
Coverage is valid for single-family residential use only. [his service contract is not valid
for commercial use, publicly accessible rental units, or communal use in multi-family
housing.
Service will be furnished only during normal working hours. Emergency service or after hours service calls will not be covered by this service contract.
Cosmetic damage, non-functional items, consumable items (including but not limited to light bulbs, batteries, knobs, and filters), improper use/installation/removal, damage by neglect, abuse, misuse, fire, water intrusion, theft, Acts of God or other external causes/conditions are excluded.
This service contract applies only to the operation for the specified product(s) under conditions for which they were designed provided such service is necessitated by product failure during normal usage, and shall not cover service caused by external conditions, such as, but not limited to, defective or inadequate plumbing, water supply, power supply, antennae or satellite.
Standard TV and Appliance will not be responsible for any loss, damage, or injury resulting from delay in rendering service or securing parts under this agreemenf, and in no event shall it be liable for incidental or consequential damages. This limited service contract gives its holder specific legal rights and the holder of this limited service contract may also have other rights which vary from state to state.
Any product with a removed, modified, or altered serial number will not be covered by this service contract.
Routine maintenance procedures such as periodic cleaning of filters, condenser and evaporator coils, and other such procedures of other products are not covered by this service contract. This service contract excludes product failures caused by a lack of maintenance as recommended by the manufacturer in the owner's manual.
Cancellation
Standard TV and Appliance may cancel this service contract for fraud or material misrepresentation, including
but not limited to commercial, rental, or multi-family use. Repair by an unauthorized
service provider or replacement without prior authorization will result in the cancellation
of this contract, subject to applicable state law. Customer may cancel this service
contract at any time by providing the Dealer of the service contract notice of cancellation.
A pro-rata refund, less a 10% administrative fee and cost of claims paid to date, will be
issued within 30 days of our receipt of the cancellation notice.
Transfer
This service contract may be transferred to another owner by providing STVA with
written notification of change of ownership of the product( s), as well as the name,
address, and phone number of the new owner within thirty (30) days of the change of
ownership.

The well-known store on SE Woodstock was opened in 1952, with the Gander family living in a small house, attached. Since then, the company has grown to over 275 employees with 4 locations: two in Portland, one in Beaverton, and one in Bend.
