This microwave was purchased to replace another GE Spacesaver microwave we purchased back in 1996 The old microwave was still working perfectly but the metal insides were starting to show signs of wear Our new Spacesaver microwave worked perfectly right out of the box It is very easy to use and we love some of the features such as being able to turn the turntable on and off and the 30 seconds of extra cook time button

The bottom of the plastic film covering the controls has peeled loose slightly A back light of the panel in low light would be handy I do like the feature to turn off the turn table From a general perspective the model works well otherwise

We are on our 3rd microwave of this model as the 1st one lasted about 8 yrs the second one lasted 32 days We gave GE a another try but if this one disappoints it will be 3rd strike and we will have to look to change brands to be loyal to

It looks and works just fine however it is Very noisey when shutting the door We have had at least 3 of this model over the last 20 years and none of them banged or made a loud noise when shutting the door Overall we are pleased with how it works
