Previously owned GE Profile, lasted 19 yrs. From previous reviews of current manufactured microwaves, the lifespan maybe 1-4 yrs. so I also purchased a 5 yr warranty and a 10 yr magnetron warranty as well. The new microwave sounds lighter in structure, but louder when door is closed. It seems to heat faster than my other one even thou the wattage is the same. This one has the ablility to turn off the turntable and also has an additional 30 second button, both which can be handy. We had it installed to the outside vent as the last one. SInce I have only had a week, I have no complaints thus far.

This replaced our similar GE microwave we bought in 2004. I loved the old one and hope this one will be as durable as the old one. Best of all, the hanger from the old one that was on our wall was the exact same dimensions as the new one, so we were able to use it to hook the new one on.
