We replaced our stand-alone range with this slide-in unit in order to meet the need for a range compatible with a down-draft vent and went with the conventional version over the induction cooktop in order to avoid replacing almost all of our cooking utensils. One star was dropped due to the inability of this stove to retain its clock setting when power goes off. I would expect a top-of-the-range unit like this one to be able to retain clock power for at least an hour or two.
