clear No, I would not recommend this to a friend
This is the model my landlord uses, probably because it's very cheap.1. It is controlled by a dial instead of buttons. None of the markings on the dial are accurate, so if you turn it to your desired cycle, it tries to wash without water.2. It does not drain all of the dirty water. I MUST run the rinse cycle a second time and even then it still leaves bits of food on everything. 3. The top rack is useless. Everything washed on the top rack ends up with a film of either detergent or food that must be rinsed off by hand.So unless you want a machine that takes food off your dishes and spreads it around to other dishes and requires trial-and-error testing to figure out where each cycle starts, I highly recommend you find a different dishwasher. Maybe one with buttons because it's 2018.
