I needed a counter depth French door with smart storage, and saw LG had the best reviews.I had loved my LG washer and dryer in my old house, so had LG installed my new house- washer & dryer, gas slide in range and this refrigerator. I didn't elect for the ice maker in the door- all brands seem to have issues based on the reviews. I don't miss it!

This fridge is great. I've owned it for 3 months and still adore it. It's legitimately huge, has beautiful design with glass shelves that look great, but my favorite feature by far is how smoothly the produce and deli drawers are. You would not believe how many refrigerators I tested out at the store and let me tell you, finding a fridge that has drawers that glide nicely AND is fingerprint resistant was like trying to find a unicorn. I had all but given up. And I don't know about you, but I just cannot stand opening a fridge drawer that glides like nails on a chalkboard. Which is what most fridges feel like. But seriously, I was pretty discouraged before finding this one. We also have excellent tap water and so didn't want to waste any fridge space for a water/ice dispenser, so I love that this doesn't have a water dispenser. Still, I love having the ice maker in the freezer. This is the first fridge I've owned with a drawer style freezer, and so I was a little worried that we wouldn't be able to fit all our frozen stuff in and keep it organized. I was so wrong. We only have a family of 3, but we can easily fit 3-4 weeks worth of groceries in here without it even seeming too cramped. I know this because we've done it several times already. I have to say that this is a great fridge. I love it. I really do. I have one complaint, which is that I'd love more space in the produce drawers. They're pretty small for such a huge fridge. But overall, after having seen what else is out there, I know I made the absolute best decision and I really super love my fridge. But if you're listening LG - more space for produce, please!!

We read a lot of reviews and landed on this model. We have a fully open floor plan, and a small house. This is the quietest appliance IÕve ever owned, and IÕm 65, so had a few. An occasional soft hum is all youÕll ever hear. Would buy another in a heartbeat.

The faulty icemaker on this unit will make you regret your purchase. The rest of the unit is great though. The original unit AND it's replacement both suffered from a defective icemaker for which LG has no remedy beyond melting the frozen tube with a hair dryer and caulking around seals. Please know that LG considers the icemaker an accessory even though it's not an add-on or purchased separately and is extremely reluctant to go beyond the above mentioned repairs. Dealing with LG's lack-of-customer-service aggravated me so much that I decided I was not going to accept their poor workmanship or excuses so after 26 phone calls, 28 texts with repair technician and 5 service calls, LG refunded my purchase price. It was a 6 month process but worth it in the end. I absolutely would not purchase an LG refrigerator again.
