I bought this refrigerator 6years ago Loved it Very disappointed that the compressor went after only 6 years Called LG They were supposed to give me some kind of rebate or refund But I have not received anything yet Needless to say I am a bit disappointed also found out that there was a recallOn this refrigerator which I have never received I am really hoping that LG makes this right

I will never purchase anything from LG again Had to have the compressor changed after 2 years and then again 2 years later Along with the evaporator this time

We bought the fridge based on the recommendation from a friend The fridge had issues which we kept on ignoring till one day it stopped making ice We spent countless hours researching the issue and also tried various options to repair the ice maker After this the food in the LG refrigerator was getting bad and we were not able to figure out what was the issue The fridge was making noise and since it was winter months it seemed cold but actually there was not enough cooling When called the LG customer care they misguided me for a repair When the tech arrvied to check the fridge he told me that he cannot gurantee that it can be repaired and indirectly told that LG is aware of issues with this model They charged me for tech visit and also told that the repair is only guranteed for 3 months We should have not done the service and paid the hefty fee We bought a new refrigerator and when the delivery person tilted the fridge to haul away a black oily liquid came out of the fridge It damaged my hardwood floors Even the delivery guys were surprised and said they have not seen anything like this before Overall the ownerhsip of this LG refrigerator was a not a good experience and have left a bad impression about the LG brand I hope LG proactively recall bad products as soon as they realize it

Compressor Failure

I owned this refrigerator for six 6 years and the compressor failed The repairman made three 3 attempts to repair it It worked for two 2 days each time and then died
