I owned the previous version of this refrigerator which sadly only lasted 4 years before the compressor died Never expected to have to replace an appliance this soon after purchase Due to space limitations I had to buy the new model as a replacement The water dispenserice maker began leaking the same day it was delivered Waited a week for repair company to determine the water pump was bad another week for part to be delivered and still waiting for return repair visit Poor quality for such a high ticket item Im done with LG

Bought LG Refrig LRFXS2503S in April 2020 Within six months had ice maker replaced under warranty Now main circuit board has died which is out of warranty Not a very long life for such an expensive appliance

Ice Maker Broke

The tube that provides water to the ice maker has permanently frozen In order to repair this I have to replace the entire left door Yes the entire door not just the tube andor heating element Price for parts and labor is close to 13 of the original cost of the unit Oh by the way this happened about 1yr and 2 mos after purchase If you read the rest of the poor reviews you will see this hunk of junk fridge has a life expectancy of about a year or less That is less than the hot sauce and mustard that it is keeping cool Do not buy this fridge

In just a few years it completely died ruining everything in the unit Ive never seen such a piece of crap in my life Its underwarranty but apparently repairing it is a major multihour repair of the compressor and lines Utterly ridiculous The ice machine is the worst ice melts together in the defrost cycle forcing one to have to break up the ice chunk quite often

As for the look and layout were very happy But exactly 5 months into owning this unit the freezer stopped maintaining temp luckily we were notified by the LG system because we were connected via wifi and a tech came out and replaced the compressor free of charge Now 5 months exactly again the same thing is happening except the unit had disconnected from the wifi and I hadnt noticed but noticed the ice cream was melting again so I contacted an agent via the app chat feature Scheduled soonest service call for two days from now but doesnt help my freezer filled with food and concerned that if this happens like clockwork every 5 months what happens when the warranty expires This is the second time this has happened in less than a year yet the traditional fridge and freezer in the garage that is reaching the 20year mark is chugging along just fine The agent said if this happens again we can file for replacement or refund but not sure what time span that covers Hoping its still under warranty if it does For now fingers crossed
