We purchased this refrigerator in November and have been using it for about one month It replaced a Samsung French door refrigerator with dual ice makers that was almost constantly broken We were initially concerned about downsizing to one ice maker but the new Whirlpool has kept up with our ice demands The fact that the ice maker is completely contained in the door opens up an extra shelf in the freezer so we have plenty of freezer storage space and it is easy to keep organized Before purchasing this model we read reviews about noise issues However we have found it to be very quiet The ice dispenser is noisy when dispensing ice but no more than other refrigerators we have used We love the measured fill for the water dispenser and use that feature daily Other reviews have mentioned the exposed corners near the hinges at the base of the refrigerator and I agree that it is odd that those were not closed off We have a throw rug that occasionally gets caught in the opening so I marked down the design in my ratings for that issue One month out we are extremely happy with our purchase

We bought this Side by Side last month after having a French Door unit and are happy with the change Water flow could be a little more powerful but that's about all the complaints we have Looks awesome and LED lighting fixtures inside and out are a very nice touch
