We bought this yo replace our old Maytag disposer It does a wonderful job even though it has slightly smaller hp

We had to replace an existing disposer that was likely original to the house when it was built some 25 years ago because of a leak from around the sink flange My original idea was just to replace everything but the disposer but that proved to be as much as a new disposer So we went for the new disposer Installation was tight as usual under a sink but it was completed without any major problems an existing power cord had to be replaced because of deteriorated conductor insulation We've had the unit installed for three weeks and so far there are no complaints The unit sounds a bit different than the old one but the old sound was something we heard for several years Right now with the short time we've had the unit installed Iɽ say we picked a very good brand of disposer Only time will tell how well it holds up to daily usage

We purchased this for our new kitchen and it does work great However it is loud when running We could have went with the lower horse power and it would have done the job just as well The only thing I wish was that it was a little more compact for undersink storage
