What can I expect prior to delivery?

  • The day before your delivery, you may be contacted to confirm your order and address.
  • The morning of your delivery, your delivery team will call with your estimated delivery time.
  • After the delivery, the delivery team will haul away all packing and boxes unless you instruct them otherwise.
  • The delivery team will haul away your old appliance, mattress or electronics product. Units must be clean & free of food, water and health hazards.
  • Our delivery team will perform a before and after walk-through of the delivery path with you. This is an extra precaution we take to prevent damage to your property during your delivery.

What can I do to assist the delivery team?

  • Make sure an adult 18 years or older is present when the delivery team arrives.
  • Clear a pathway larger than the item being delivered both inside and outside the house and remove fragile items.
  • Remove all personal items from the appliance being hauled away.
  • Please arrange installation of your new built-in appliance and/or disconnection of your old built-in appliance through your salesperson in advance (an additional fee may apply).
  • Some gas appliances may be converted from natural gas to Liquid Propane (LP) for an additional fee. Please arrange this through your salesperson in advance.

Our Delivery Teams Complete the Following: (Unless Otherwise Instructed)

  • REFRIGERATORS & FREEZERS: Unbox and remove from pallet. Place where directed, if accessible. Connect existing, accessible water line* (signed liability waiver required). Unpack and set interior shelves. Set controls to factory recommendations. Haul away old unit as directed NOTE: Installation of a new water line from the source to the refrigerator must be arranged in advance through your salesperson for an additional fee.
  • PRO-STYLE APPLIANCES & BUILT-IN REFRIGERATION: Place where directed, if accessible. Unbox and leave on fiberboard upon request. Haul away old unit, if uninstalled and as directed. NOTE: We will need extra space inside and outside your home to deliver this type of product. Installation must be arranged in advance through your salesperson and requires an additional fee.
  • WASHERS: Unbox and remove all packing and/or shipping bolts. Install legs/feet or place on pedestal, if applicable. Place where directed, if accessible. Connect water line hose (signed liability waiver required). Level washer and set to height of dryer. Test hot, cold, and spin/drain cycle. Haul away old washer as directed. NOTE: We will not remove covers to drain holes in your household plumbing receptacle. Drain piping must be visible and open. Extension fill hoses can be purchased at the time of delivery, if needed. Any remaining water from the old washer must be removed.
  • DRYERS: Unbox and remove all packing. Install legs/feet or stack on pedestal, if applicable. Place where directed, if accessible. Install cord (if purchased from Standard: sold separately). Attach new, metal venting (if purchased from Standard: sold separately). Ensure dryer is level and at the same height as the washer. Test dryer (electric dryers only). Haul away old dryer as directed. NOTE: Some dryers can be stacked on top of the washer. The delivery team will stack the dryer if the appropriate stacking kit (which may need to be purchased separately) is present. Standard TV & Appliance will not install venting longer than 6 feet.
  • ELECTRIC DRYERS: The States of Oregon and Washington do not allow a retailer to install cords while a site is under construction.
  • GAS DRYERS: Installation must be arranged in advance through your salesperson for an additional fee.
  • ELECTRIC RANGES: Unbox and remove pallet. Install cord (if purchased from Standard: sold separately). Place where directed, if accessible. Level range. Remove packing and manuals from oven. Test oven and each cooktop burner. Haul away old unit as directed. NOTE: The States of Oregon and Washington do not allow retailers to install cords while a site is under construction.
  • OVEN, COOKTOP, HOOD, OR VENT: Unbox upon request. Place where directed, if accessible. If unboxed, we will leave on fiberboard. Haul away old unit as directed, if uninstalled. NOTE: Installation must be arranged in advance through your salesperson for an additional fee.
  • DROP-IN, SLIDE-IN & GAS RANGES: Unbox and remove pallet. Place in front of installation hole on fiberboard. Remove packing and manuals from oven. Haul away old unit as directed, if uninstalled. NOTE: Installation must be arranged in advance through your salesperson for an additional fee.
  • DISHWASHERS: Place where directed, if accessible. Haul away old unit as directed, if uninstalled: completely disconnected. NOTE: Installation must be arranged in advance through your salesperson for an additional fee. We do not install portable dishwashers.
  • MATTRESS & BOX SPRINGS: Place where directed, if accessible. Assemble frame (if purchased). Haul away old items as directed. NOTE: The delivery team will not bend the mattress beyond manufacturer's recommendations.
  • ELECTRONICS: Unbox and remove packing. Place where directed, if accessible. Basic hook up of your electronics. Connect to cable or satellite receiver and one other component (DVD, VCR, HD box, etc.). Set television channels. Haul away old unit as directed. NOTE: If you require further installation, your sales person can arrange this for an additional fee. Standard TV and Appliance will not move your furniture.
